Auld Planning and Projects works with property development and government clients to scope, manage and deliver planning related projects. We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver results and outcomes for our clients. We particularly enjoy working on complex and challenging projects that require skills in trouble-shooting, negotiation and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
With more than 15 years of planning experience in Australia and the UK, Sarah has developed particular expertise in project positioning, project facilitation and strategic advice.
Sarah Auld acts as project lead on complex multi-disciplinary projects around Victoria, for both the government and private sectors. Her diverse professional experience includes precinct and activity centre revitalisation, land development, retail and commercial projects, residential buildings, policy development and infrastructure projects. Sarah has extensive experience with both local and state government and consultancies in Melbourne, Geelong and London.
In addition to project roles, Sarah is active in industry and business leadership. In 2014 she joined the State Government’s Sustainable Urban Development delegation to China as part of the Victoria Week Trade Mission and presented at forums in Shanghai and Chongqing. She was a member of the Planning Committee for the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s Victoria division until December 2016, actively advocating for improvements in the planning system.
Sarah was a member of Spiire’s Senior Leadership Team for 3 years before starting Auld Planning and Projects. During that time she led a planning team of over 15 staff across four offices, with responsibilities including staff development and training, knowledge sharing across disciplines and geographies, ensuring the consistency and quality of technical advice across the team, and actively contributing to business strategy and implementation of strategic projects.
In April 2017 Sarah joined the Board of Creative Geelong, a not for profit organisation aimed at highlighting and supporting the creative industries in the Geelong region.
Sarah Auld has been very effective in her role as Project Manager for DELWP. She has delivered a robust project plan, is exceptionally good at stakeholder management and developing options to navigate road blocks. Her diversity of skills and experience has greatly supported this challenging project and her interpersonal attributes make it extremely pleasant to work with her. She is very responsive, agile, and astute
The work that has been provided by Auld Planning & Projects has been of a very high quality and provided promptly. The project has been very challenging in terms of planning requirements with a number of stakeholders involved in a very controversial project. The assistance from Auld Planning & Projects has been invaluable and I doubt the project would be commenced without their professional input.
I have worked with Sarah across a range of projects from a site specific matter to significant long term strategic projects. Her background and networks in consulting, government and private practice have clearly created a strong foundation from which to launch Auld Planning and Projects. Sarah is a highly analytical thinker, with exceptional relationship and project management skills. Her ability to provide advice across sectors and varied industries can be attributed to her skills of strategic insight and her solution focused approaches. Sarah’s professionalism and quality of work are ever reliable and I consider her to be a trusted advisor.
