During more than 17 years of planning experience in Australia and the UK, Sarah Auld has developed particular expertise in strategic planning projects and project positioning, management & facilitation.
Sarah often acts in a project lead capacity on complex multi-disciplinary projects across Victoria, for both government and private sectors.
Sarah’s diverse professional experience includes precinct and activity centre revitalisation, land development, retail, commercial & residential projects, energy projects, policy development and infrastructure projects.
Sarah is a sessional member of Planning Panels Victoria.
In 2018 Sarah was recognised with a PIA (Vic) award for the ‘Best Planning Idea – Large Project’ for the MV2040 Strategy, in conjunction with Moonee Valley City Council.
In addition to project roles, Sarah has been active in industry and business leadership. In 2014 she joined the State Government’s Sustainable Urban Development delegation to China as part of the Victoria Week Trade Mission and presented at forums in Shanghai and Chongqing.
She was a member of the Planning Committee for the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s Victoria division until December 2016, actively advocating for improvements in the planning system.
From April 2017 to October 2019 she was a on the Board of Creative Geelong, a not for profit organisation aimed at highlighting and supporting the creative industries in the Geelong region.
Glenn joined Auld Planning & Projects in 2020, returning to town planning consulting following several years in the energy industry working with a multinational renewable energy developer, owner and operator.
Glenn has over 10 years of experience in the town planning discipline, with experience in a range of matters including residential, industrial, agricultural and commercial developments, greenfield broadacre subdivision, major infrastructure projects and renewable energy developments. With a thorough understanding of the Victorian planning system and experience in Local Government, consulting and client-side, Glenn is passionate about securing robust approvals for projects that contribute to the ongoing development of Victoria and using his experience to foresee planning issues and provide creative solutions.
Glenn also has experiencing in managing cross-discipline teams of technical specialists, ensuring work packages are correctly scoped, delivered on time and within budget.
Review to ensure consistency in the drafting of objectives, strategies and guidelines
In 2017 Auld Planning & Projects was engaged to undertake a review of VicRoads internal planning capability. A significant element of the review was consultation across the organisation and with key external stakeholders. All recommendations of the review were accepted by the VicRoads Executive Leadership Team.
Response to the recommendations of the Major Hazard Facilities Advisory Committee Report in relation to land development around pipelines, including consultation with pipeline licensees
Auld Planning & Projects was engaged by Moonee Valley in early 2017 to lead the preparation of the MV2040 Visioning Paper, the precursor to a long term strategy for the future of Moonee Valley. In 2018 we worked with Moonee Valley on the preparation of the draft MV2040 Strategy. We have also assisted in the translation of the long term strategy into the Local Planning Policy Framework
Project management of a Utility Infrastructure Strategy to meet the forecast population growth of Central Geelong over next 10 years

We have been engaged by the City of Greater Geelong on a number of projects, including:
Preparation of planning reports to support the application of Public Acquisition Overlays to land identified for three new metropolitan regional parks in Clyde, Werribee and Melton. The projects are due to be considered by an Advisory Committee in mid 2018
Assistance with the disposal of various surplus government land sites through the Fast Track Government Land Service
Auld Planning & Projects has been engaged to assess Victorian route options for a second interconnector between Tasmania and Victoria, known as Project Marinus
Project management of the approval processes (EPA Works Approval & Planning Permit) for the Ballarat Saleyard
Preparation of a business case and various other initiatives to deliver on the Integrated Water Management initiatives to deliver on Water for Victoria
